SCFSC Must Continue to Raise Funds
The Santa Clara County FireSafe Council is pleased to announce that we have received two federal grants for 2007 from the Bureau of Land Management through the California Fire Safe Council to start Defensible Space Chipping Programs in selected Communities at Risk from wildfires in Santa Clara County and that we have been selected for funding for two similar 2008 grants!
While we are encouraged by this grant funding, we must continue to complement it with local, private funds to build a truly sustainable organization and maintain the momentum we have gained over the last year.

The Santa Clara County FireSafe Council is a non-profit organization which relies completely on donations and grants to further our mission to keep Santa Clara County residents, property and wildlands safe from the devastating effects of wildfire.
